  • Name and Email Address: We collect your name and email address when you are registered for the event. This information is used to create and secure your account.
  • Attendee Type: We store your role (e.g., Attendee, Panelist, Admin) to provide a tailored app experience, such as granting access to exclusive content like Logistics Notes for Panelists.
• Device Information:
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token: We collect a unique, anonymous token from your device to send you important, real-time push notifications about the event, such as schedule changes or urgent announcements. This token is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely for delivering notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your user account.
• To authenticate you and provide access to the App.
• To provide role-specific features and content.
• To send you important updates and information about the event via push notifications.
• To allow you to interact with app features, such as adding agenda items to your calendar.

3. Permissions We Request

Calendar (Write Access): Our App requests permission to write to your device's calendar. This permission is used only when you explicitly tap the "Add to Calendar" button for an agenda item. We use this to create a new event in your calendar with the session details. We do not read, access, or store any of your existing calendar events.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our App:

• Google Firebase: We use Firebase for backend services, including Authentication, Firestore Database (data storage), Cloud Storage (for images), and Cloud Messaging (for push notifications). Firebase has its own privacy policy, which you can review here: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Maps Platform: We use Google Maps to display the event venue. This service is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your personal data is stored securely on Google's Firebase platform. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties. Your information is used solely for the purpose of providing the services within The 2nd Cairo Forum App.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or via other communication methods. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
